Editing Pages

To add, remove or re-order items on a new, or existing page you will need to open the Page Content screen. There are 3 different methods to access the Page Content screen of a particular page.

  • Preview method
  • Site Structure method
  • Page List method

 

Preview Method

You can access a page to edit by browsing the front end of your website in preview mode. In Unity, hover your mouse over the Pages menu, then over the site area you want to work in and select Preview. See below.

The home page of your chosen site area will open in preview mode. Notice the Page Info, Admin Home and Log Off buttons appear in the top left corner.  In preview mode you can navigate around the website as a regular user would, to find a page you wish to edit. Once you find the page you want to edit, Click the Page Info button.

Clicking Page Info on a page shows a list of elements which you can access directly for editing. 

  • Click Page Content to access the Page Content screen where you can add, remove and reorder items

  • Click Page Details to access the Page Details screen where you set the page title, category and other metadata

  • Click Site Structure to access the Site Structure where you manage pages in your website

  • Click Edit on a Html Article element and you will be taken direct that element in Unity.

Site Structure Method

Unity6 utilises a Site Structure view to provide website administrators an overview of all the pages in the site. For more detailed information on the Site Structure see Site Structure.

To access the site structure, hover your mouse over the Pages menu, then over the site area you are working on, then click Site Structure. See Below.

The Site Structure for you selected site area will open.

 

You can expand sections of the site structure by clicking the small plus symbols, to help find the desired page for editing.

Once you find the page you want to edit, left click the page title. See above.
